Our September DocuClub will take place on Wednesday, September 29, 7 p.m., at 92YTribeca, located at 200 Hudson Street, at Canal. (Take 1, A/C/E to Canal Street). Rose Vincelli, Program Manager for the Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP), will be moderating. We will announce our rough cut soon. Stay tuned for details!

DocuClub Screenings: The LuLu Sessions

Raised in a small farm in Vermont, Dr. Louise Nutter, or LuLu, entered college at 15-years old, and by 29, was a star scientist invited to set up the first national cancer research center in Taiwan. The chain-smoking, hard-living, beloved professor has just discovered a new anti-cancer drug when she finds out she is dying of breast cancer herself at 42. Shot during the last 1.5 years of LuLu’s life, the film is a raw, intimate, yet surprisingly humorous story about the filmmaker showing up for her best friend, and together, testing the limits of their bond while taking on life’s ultimate adventure: death.
